Since graduating in music from the University of York in 1999, Oliver has been carving a name for himself in the music industry. He plays at the cutting edge of folk and world music with Szapora! and the duo NewFolks. A fluent improviser he has played with these bands at festivals and venues across the UK. He works with other artists including with the storyteller Daniel Morden, with whom he performs in the UK and abroad.

Oliver has also worked for extensively as a performer, composer and workshop leader for employers including the RSC (Love In A Wood) the BBC
National Orchestra of Wales, Sherman Theatre (The Borrowers),
Theatre Iolo (Are We There Yet?), Artists in Schools Wales, Pide-piper, Cardiff City
Council and Conwy County Council. He tours all over the UK on the Live Music Now! scheme, giving concerts and leading workshops. Also in demand as a recording artist, he recently featured in a BBC documentary on the life of J Strauss II. Click here for full CV.
